Words Of Wisdom From Singapore’s Best Rawyers!

Jan 5th, 2007 | By | Category: News & Updates, Personal Stories

Heeeeeeero Evereebaadi!

Hi, this is Ong.

And this is Leong.

Together … we’re Ong and Leong!

We are the number one rawyers in the countree. Because we have this motto.

“We Fight For Yoouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Unress your oppponint has more maaaaney, then we fight for your opponent … hope you don’t mind ah”

(cheesy hokkien laughter)

Anybody hear these chaps on 987 fm? They are freaking hilarious … and they come on radio between 4 and 8PM. So, if you need a mood boost in the middle of the evening, then turn on 987 fm, yeah?

Anyway, today I was listening to them on the bus and I got a few critical words of wisdom from Ong.

Ong: Hey Leong ah, I have been thinking.

Leong: Ey, why you think so much. Your head hurting (bla bla bla)

Ong: Hey Leong. listen ah. I think i want to give up arr my belongings – my house, 2 HDB, 4 condominium, 2 cars and all that.

Leong: What … why?

Ong: And then I want to move into a kampong and live in the mud prace …

Leong: …

Ong: And ren. I want to take some mud … and rub it on my face …

Leong: But why Ong? Why you want to do that?

Ong: Because I heard somebody say … If you ron’t experience rhe bad … Then you won’t know what rhe good is like …

Pretty deep words from two rawyers who speak with such a strange accent :P .

Anyway, I was on the bus in the evening. It was raining outside, and everyone inside seemed pretty tense (probably missing their umbrellas).

And then while I was listening to the radio, on one occasion I laughed out loud … without realizing it.

(Cold stares at me)

Feeling a little self conscious at first, I wanted to go back into my shell. But then I remembered Papa Pete’s words … There are no reasons … NOT to feel good for no good reason!

So I continued to enjoy and laugh (albiet a little less loudly) at my radio show. By the time I got off the bus, there were 3 couples and 2 other people smiling and laughing.

I don’t think it was me … but I think they all wanted to smile & laugh in a public place … but were very conscious of doing so … with everyone else frowning. I think I made a little difference in one 75 numbered bus from tanjong pagar to bukit panjang :D

For now … waste 9 minutes with these three podcasts of Ong and Leong!
